1. Introduction
kidsnamelabels (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information. We aim to handle it in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and delivery and billing addresses.
- The name and any other details you type to personalise a product. This is often a child’s name.
- Order and customer service history.
- Technical information such as your device, browser, pages visited and IP address, collected through cookies.
- We do not collect or store your card details. They are handled by our payment providers.
3. How we collect it
Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, contact us or join our mailing list, and automatically through cookies when you use the website.
4. Why we use it
To take payment, make and deliver your order, send order and tracking emails, answer your questions and handle returns; to improve our website; and, if you agree, to send you offers. We also use it to meet our legal and tax obligations.
5. Who we share it with
- Our suppliers and delivery partners. To fulfil your order we give them your name, delivery address, phone number and the name to print. Our suppliers are based overseas, mainly in mainland China, so your information is disclosed outside Australia.
- Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal).
- Service providers we use to run the store, such as hosting, email, order alerts and analytics tools.
- Government or law enforcement bodies where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Children’s information
We collect a child’s name only to personalise your order and not for marketing. Please give us a child’s name only if you are their parent or guardian or have their guardian’s consent.
7. Overseas disclosure
We take reasonable steps to choose suppliers who handle information responsibly, but overseas suppliers may not be bound by Australian privacy law. By placing an order you accept that your details will be sent to them so we can fill it.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to remember your cart, understand how the website is used. We use Google Analytics 4. You can block cookies in your browser, but some parts of the website may not work.
9. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as the law requires, which is currently 5 years for tax purposes. We delete delivery details and order alert messages 90 days after delivery.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limited access. No online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee it.
11. Access and correction
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@kidsnamelabels.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity first.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us at hello@kidsnamelabels.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
13. Marketing emails
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by emailing us.
14. Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version here, with a new effective date.
